DAY 1:

Senggigi – Senaru – Crater Rim – Senaru – Senggigi/Bangsal ( B-L-D ).

Preview:
A challenging yet rewarding one-day trek through tropical forests to the crater rim, offering breathtaking views of Segara Anak Lake before descending back to Senaru.

Pick up from your hotel in Senggigi at 03:00 AM and transfer by car to Senaru Village (601 m), arriving around 05:00 AM. Enjoy a light breakfast before registering at the Rinjani National Park ranger office.

Begin your trek early in the morning. The trail climbs steadily through dense tropical forest rich with flora, birdlife, and colorful butterflies. Along the way, you may encounter orchids, long-tailed grey macaques, deer, and if lucky, the rare black ebony leaf monkey (locally known as lutung).

Rest stops are taken along the route, including at Pos 2 Montong Satas (1,500 m), where your guide will share local stories and legends. Continue trekking through forest and open grassy areas.

After approximately 5–7 hours of trekking, you will reach Senaru Crater Rim (2,641 m). From here, enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Segara Anak Lake, the summit of Mount Rinjani, and the active Mount Baru. On clear days, you can also see the Gili Islands, Bali, and Mount Agung.

After enjoying the views and rest, begin your descent back to Senaru Village. The trail passes through grassland and tropical forest.

After approximately 7 hours of descent, arrive at the Rinjani Trek Centre. Transfer back to your hotel in Senggigi or the airport. Free time at leisure.
