Trekking to Mount Rinjani via Benang Stokel Route

The Benang Stokel route is a unique trekking path to Mount Rinjani, starting from Aik Berik Village in Central Lombok, about 27 km east of Mataram (around 1 hour drive). This route is famous for its beautiful waterfalls, including Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu, which serve as the starting point of the trek.

The journey offers a different perspective of Rinjani, taking you through dense tropical forests, rich wildlife, and scenic landscapes. Highlights include the stunning Tiara Dewi Anjani waterfall and the chance to encounter deer or the rare black ebony leaf monkey (Lutung). This route does not directly lead to the Rinjani summit unless you cross Segara Anak Lake to the Sembalun side.

DAY 1

Begin your adventure with a transfer to Benang Stokel, followed by a safety briefing and preparation before starting your trek through lush tropical forest towards the crater rim.
